Casas Blancas

This is an urban intervention program benefitting close to 56,000 inhabitants which aims to create the conditions necessary to promote tourism in the Revenga Municipality in Aragua State, taking advantage of the 100,000 annual visitors to the Hacienda Santa Teresa.

Origins

The inhabitants of the Revenga municipality identified tourism in the area as something of great potential during the development of Vision Revenga that since 2004 has outlined a plan of action for the economic and social development of the community. As part of this, the Santa Teresa Foundation promotes from the Hacienda Santa Teresa tourist trips to the historic center and the community of Juan Moreno (the sector facing the Hacienda Santa Teresa).

With this vision, in 2013 the idea arose of incorporatingthe experience of Mediterranean towns or “white towns” that join together urban and aesthetic elements to turn themselves into tourist attractions, so as to make the Juan Moreno community an attraction for those that visit the Revenga Municipality.
